WhatsApp New Features: Sticker Search, New Terms of Service, and More
WhatsApp has launched new animated stickers, new wallpapers and sticker search in its mobile applications.
WhatsApp is one of the most famous messaging apps across the world. Each week, the reports detail the new features that are coming to the app. The reports also detail the improvements the company is making to some of its existing functions. This week we got to know about the new features that will soon be available in the Facebook-owned messaging application. We also learned about the tasks that the company has already implemented in the application.

Animated Sticker Pack: WhatsApp has also introduced a new animated sticker pack to its Android and iOS app. The company has converted the WHO "Together at Home" sticker pack into an animated sticker pack.
In-App Ads: Another feature that will be available is in-app ads. Until now, WhatsApp informed users about its recently launched features through advertisements on its social media pages. That's about to change as the company plans to introduce in-app ads in the form of in-app banner ads. Once the users click on the banner ad, they will get details about the WhatsApp update.
New wallpapers: Finally, WhatsApp has introduced new wallpapers in its mobile applications. The list includes custom chat wallpapers, doodle wallpapers, and light and dark wallpapers, among others.
New Terms of Service: WhatsApp, according to a report by WABetaInfo, plans to update its Terms of Service which will begin in February 2021 and will be announced via an in-app. The report also suggests that the update will basically focus on how WhatsApp processes user data and how companies can use the services for storing and managing their WhatsApp chats.
Sticker Search: WhatsApp has also added a new sticker search feature in its mobile apps. This feature allows users to search for relevant stickers just like searching for GIFs in the app.
Video, Voice Call via Desktop App: Now, WhatsApp users can make voice calls and video calls via Android and iOS apps. But they can't make calls, both video and voice, through the WhatsApp desktop app. That might change as the messaging app is working on a feature that would allow users to make voice and video calls from the WhatsApp desktop app. When launched, the feature would also support group calls, as it does in the case of the mobile app. This feature is in the testing phase.
