On the official Google Play Store, the current listing for the Mitron app is live again.

Mitron- TikTok's Indian version app is back on the Google Play Store, just days after it was removed from the play store. On the official Google Play Store, the current listing for the Mitron app is live again. The app is described as "free short video, and social platform-based out of Bengaluru, India" and its interface reminds us of TikTok, the prominent short video platform.

Mitron was giving a fierce competition to TikTok when it was suspended, and the app was downloaded for more than five million times on the Google Play Store just within one month of its issue. On Thursday, Google Play acknowledged deleting the app and other similar apps for violating its policies. Google said many recent app removals received particular attention in India, and it has also clarified its actions.

Indian originated Mitron app which was suspended from the official Google Play Store, Sameer Samat, Vice President, Android and Google Play, said in a statement, "We removed a video app for a number of technical policy violations. We have an established process of working with developers to help them fix issues and resubmit their apps. We've given this developer some guidance, and once they've addressed the issue, the app can go back up on Play."

Mitron- TikTok's Indian version app was download numbers ever since it appeared in the Google Play Store. Google play store removed the app earlier this week. At the time of deleting, the app had over 5 million downloads. The reasons behind the removal of the app were said to the security issues reported by several publications. Irfan Sheikh of Qboxus sold the app from Lahore to Shivank Agarwal who seemingly, is an IIT Roorkee student.

As per the media reports, the main reason for the apps quick popularity was the app's name Mitron and its short-video sharing format. Remarkably, Mitron, means friends in Hindi, is a word commonly used by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in many of his speeches.
