Warangal: As many as 10 officials were suspended for dereliction of election duty. The officials failed to report for election training programme organised for the upcoming Parliament elections.

The Returning Officer (RO) and Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil on Thursday issued orders placing the services of 10 officials under suspension.

The officials are K Swathi, junior assistant, CKM College; B Srinivas, drawing master of ZPHS at Arepally; K Suvarna Grace, SGT, Wardhannapet; P Madhu, assistant librarian, Warangal; P Punnamma, KGBV, Wardhannapet; A Ravi Kumar of KMC; P Abhinav of R&B department; E Senam Raju working with grain market; Mirza Mahmood Baig, junior assistant (H&T); and M Prasad, senior assistant, Inspector of Factories. The RO said that stringent action will be taken against those who fail to attend elections duty, which is mandatory.
