Two auto-rickshaw drivers held for raping 18-year-old in Hyderabad

Two auto-rickshaw drivers were arrested on Friday for raping an 18-year-old girl here Hashamabad in Chandrayangutta.

Though the incident occurred on December 8, it came to light on Friday when the family of the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

In the complaint, the victim and her 10-year-old sister said that they had lost their way while going to her grandmother's home when the accused Anwar and Feroz, both auto-drivers also siblings took them to their home.

When their mother chided them for bringing the girls, Feroz took them to a lodge on the pretext of dropping them home. Feroz then raped the elder girl while her sister was asleep. He then dropped them at Falaknuma railway station on the next day and fled the spot.

The girls then reached their grandmother's home after the victim called to one of their relatives. The girl shared her ordeal with her family who approached the police.
