7 new municipal corporations to come up in Telangana

- Besides, HMDA and GHMC, the new municipal corporations will handle the issues in the city
The state government is planning to set up seven new municipal corporations in Telangana in addition to the six municipal corporations including GHMC. With this, the count of the total municipal corporations will touch to 13.
Explaining the features of the new municipal act, the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Bandangpet, Bandlguda Jagir, Boduppal, Peerzadiguda, Meerpet Jillelaguda, Nizampet and Jawaharnagar will be made as municipal corporations. Besides the 13 municipal corporations, there will be 128 municipalities in the state.
The chief minister said that all these municipal corporations have to co-ordinate with each other to resolve the issues of the municipalities.
