Hyderabad: Telangana reported 164 new cases and nine deaths on Friday pushing the overall Covid tally to 4,484 cases while deaths to 174.
GHMC limits accounted 133 among the fresh cases while Medchal and Ranga Reddy reported six cases each. Among the infected was Superintendent of Area Hospital in Kondapur who had fever from last 3 days and tested positive.
There were rumours of Minister Harish Rao's PA testing positive but it was not confirmed by officials. Meanwhile, the health department has transferred Gandhi RMO-1 Dr M Jayakrishna to Osmania hospital for the dead body fiasco witnessed on Thursday.
