A constable in Telangana cuts stepmother's throat over property clash

A constable working with the city police killed his stepmother in a dispute over a property dispute in Madannapet on Tuesday morning.

According to the police, K Srikanth, the police constable around 7:15 am went to K Sukanya, his stepmother's house, located in Boya Basthi, Madannapet. He attacked and cut her throat with a sharp weapon he carried, the family members and tenants watched in horror. Srikanth fled the scene after attacking Sukanya.

Madannapet police rushed to the place after being informed about the incident and took the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem. A police team launched efforts to trap the constable.
