Karimnagar: The representatives of Student Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) on Friday demanded the government immediate action to be taken against private schools, which are violating the rules issued by the education department.
SFI and DYFI representatives laid siege the DEO office in Karimnagar, seeking action against private schools.
Speaking on the occasion, SFI district secretary Shanigarapu Rajanikanth alleged that many private and corporate educational institutions present across the district are collecting high amounts of fees and looting the innocent parents.
According to GO No.42, the schools must get permission from District Fees Regulation Committee before enhancing the fees and as per GO No 1, the management of the schools must not expect more than 5 per cent of profits by running the schools and should allot 50 per cent of the amount to teachers for their salaries. Also, they should submit the report every year to the education department and must not admit the students in the name of Smart, Techno, Concept and Digi, he stated. But many private and corporate educational institutions are violating rules and converting education into business, Rajanikanth added.

institutions and control the fee structure. Otherwise, they would intensify the agitation to teach the government a fitting lesson, SFI district secretary warned.
