State Level Tribal Welfare Ashram School games for under 14 to 17 years students were organised by Integrated Tribal Development Agency ITDA, District Collector D Divya, Zilla Parishad Chairman Janardhan Ratohd, MLA Jogu Ramanna , ITDA PO Krishna Aditya, Sub Collector Gopi at Ashram School in Kumaram Bheem Complex at Utnoor in Adilabad district on Wednesday.

Adilabad: State Level Tribal Welfare Ashram School games for under 14 to 17 years students were organized by Integrated Tribal Development Agency ITDA, District Collector D Divya, Zilla Parishad Chairman Janardhan Ratohd, MLA Jogu Ramanna , ITDA PO Krishna Aditya, Sub Collector Gopi at Ashram School in Kumaram Bheem Complex at Utnoor in Adilabad district on Wednesday.

Addressing on the occasion, Collector D Divya called upon the tribal students to participate in the games to prove their talent and win the prizes. She also told the student that sports and education will help them to grow mentally and physically in their life. She said that the State government is spending about Rs1.20 lakh every year for their development to bring them to the forefront, she said.

Every student should develop in sports as well as education to get good name to their parents and the school. State government is providing training to the Ashram School students with qualified physical education teachers and physical directors for their well-being. Games will also help the students to develop their personality. To get national awards and physical education will help the students to get strong body and the strong body has strong mind, she said.

Addressing on the occasion, Adilabad MLA Jogu Ramanna said that games will help the students to bring their excellence as well as to develop friendship with different communities and customs.

ITDA PO said that for the conduct of the second phase of Telangana Tribal Ashram School competitions the staff worked very hard. In total, eight games athletics, kabaddi, volleyball, Kho Kho, chess, carom, archery completion will be held and 1700 students will participate in the competitions. Running, kabbadi, archery competitions started on Wednesday.

K Ravi of Aturi Nagaram who won the running competition got the first prize, and Pavan of Badrachalam got a second prize, Santosh of Hyderabad bagged third prize in the competition and winners were presented medals by the district collector D Divya, ZP chairman Rathod Janardhan and MLA Jogu Ramanna. Agricultural Market Committee Chairman Prahallad, MPP Jaivanth Rao, Tribal welfare Deputy Director Chandana, DTWOs and others were present.
