After the completion of the elections of chairman and vice-chairman of cooperative societies, now suspense is going on in political circles on DCCB chairman and DCMS chairman posts.
Adilabad: After the completion of the elections of chairman and vice-chairman of cooperative societies, now suspense is going on in political circles on DCCB chairman and DCMS chairman posts. The ruling TRS leaders are trying hard to get the coveted posts of the joint district while the candidates are busy in meeting senior party leaders to verify their name for the posts.
This time the ruling TRS won 68 cooperative societies out of the 77, present across the joint district. With this, once again political heat began in rural areas on the posts of cooperative chairman and vice-chairman and there is a great excitement hovered over DCCB and DCMS elections. In Adilabad district, the TRS had won 24 out of 28 and BJP won three. In Gudihathnoor mandal the TRS won one and two societies in Echoda mandal. The Congress was not able to win at least one seat and disappointed the party cadre.
In Nirmal district, the TRS won 14 posts out of 17 societies, Opposition Congress won one post and elections were postponed in two places due to lack of quorum. From Nirmal district, Harish Rao of Mamada mandal is trying for the chairman post of DCCB and DCMS.
From Adilabad district, the present DCCB Chairman Damodar Reddy is trying to retain his post. It came to that State level leaders are verifying his name for the post at a meeting.
On the other side, former Agricultural Market Committee Chairman and MLA Jogu Ramanna's follower Adi Bhoja Reddy is in the fray and reportedly has a good support of six MLAs in the district. also the party senior leaders had sympathy over Bhoja Reddy as he was not given any nominated post, who also worked as Rythu Samanya Samiti district president.
Baluri Govardhan Reddy, who won from Jainath mandal, is also putting all his efforts to sit on the DCCB chairman seat. There are another two persons trying from eastern part of the district (Mancherial) to get the post of DCCB and DCMS chairman post.
