Hyderabad: Admissions are open in School of Social Sciences, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) for the academic year 2019-20.

The School has 8 departments namely, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work, Women Education, Sociology, History, Economics and Islamic Studies. All the departments of social sciences are giving admissions in Ph.D. and post graduate programmes. School also offers undergraduate programmes and part-time Diploma in Islamic Studies.

Passed outs of these courses, especially students of public administration and political science excel in IAS, IPS and Group I Competitive examinations conducted by UPSC. Master of Social Work is a professional course. Students of this course get chance to undertake internship in different organizations and more often they are absorbed in the same organization after completion of course. Students from Department of Economics are also in demand. The students from other courses also get jobs after completing the course successfully.

The faculty members of social sciences departments are well versed in their respective subjects. Under their guidance & supervision all round development of student's personality is ensured.

Apart from Hyderabad Headquarters, admissions are being offered at Lucknow and Srinagar (J&K) campuses and 9 colleges of Teacher Education and 5 Polytechnics spread all over the country.

The applicants who have passed Urdu as a subject/language/medium at least at 10th/10+2 /Graduation level, or from Madarsa are eligible for admissions. The list of Madrasas provided in e-prospectus. All programmes are offered in Urdu medium.

The e-prospectus and online application forms are available on the University website, www.manuu.ac.in. The last date for submission of online application for entrance test based courses is 1st May, 2019 whereas for merit based courses the last date is 30th June, 2019.
