Advocate held for cheating man to the tune of Rs 78Lakhs
The Central Crime Station, DD, White Collar Offences (WCO) Team – XII on Friday nabbed an accused identified as T V S N S Vara Prasada Rao (45), who is a practicing Advocate in High Court of Telangana and AP, on charges of cheating to the tune of Rs 78 lakh.
Hyderabad: The Central Crime Station, DD, White Collar Offences (WCO) Team – XII on Friday nabbed an accused identified as T V S N S Vara Prasada Rao (45), who is a practicing Advocate in High Court of Telangana and AP, on charges of cheating to the tune of Rs 78 lakh.
According to officials, a complaint has been lodged by one K Ramarao in which he stated that the accused Prasada Rao along with another accused cheated him to a tune of Rs 78 lakh with a false promise of providing jobs in Staff Selection Commission and as Assistant Executive Engineer.
On receipt of a complaint, officials registered a case under sections 406 and 420 IPC. Connecting the dots, they nabbed the accused and produced him before the Court for Judicial custody.
