Ameenpur: Chairman Tummala Panduranga Reddy called upon women to strive hard for coming up in all fields

Ameenpur: Ameenpur Municipal Chairman Tummala Panduranga Reddy on Sunday called upon women to strive hard for coming up in all fields. Speaking as the chief guest at the International Women's Day celebrations in Sri Bramarambika Mallikarjuna Swamy Devasthanam at Beeramguda, along with Gudem Yadamma, wife of Patancheru MLA Mahipal Reddy, he conveyed greetings to women.

He stated that the TRS government was according equal importance to women in all fields. 'The credit for honouring women on the International Women's Day goes to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, they said, adding that KCR was providing the 'Kalyana Lakshmi' assistance to poor families for performing marriages, besides extending welfare schemes to them.

Several cultural programmes were organised to mark the day. Women cut the IWD cake and exchanged greetings. Those present included Ameenpur Municipal Commissioner Sujata, Panduranga Reddy's wife Sunita, several public representatives, women.
