APSRTC bus mows down TSRTC employee, wife
A TSRTC employee and his wife lost their lives in a fatal road accident on Thursday morning near Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Pedda Amberpet.
Hyderabad: A TSRTC employee and his wife lost their lives in a fatal road accident on Thursday morning near Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Pedda Amberpet.
The deceased are identified B Ranga Reddy and B Vajramani, residents of Koheda village in Abdullapurmet mandal.
According to police, on Thursday a complaint has been received from one B Shivashankar Reddy (27) in which he stated that on Thursday at 6:45 am, his father B Ranga Reddy (56) a RTC employee of Hayathnagar depot and mother B Vajramani (49) left their house to Abdullapurmet on a two-wheeler.
When they were crossing NH-65 road towards Abdullapurmet at Balijaguda crossroads near ORR at Pedda Amberpet, the driver of APSRTC bus which was coming from Vijayawada to Hyderabad drove in rash and negligent manner and hit his father's bike. Resultantly, they sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot.
On knowing about the accident, RTC employees rushed to the spot and demanded ex gratia to the bereaved family. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
The police identified the bus driver as Venkataswamy and registered a case under section 304-A IPC, and took up probe.
