Arrange third wire for electric poles: Nirmal Collector

Nirmal: District Collector M Prashanthi instructed the electricity authorities to arrange third wire in villages, to tight loose electricity wires and to conduct joint survey with electricity, panchayat departments and to submit a report before Monday. She attended a review meeting with electricity officials as part of 30-day actions plan at the Collector's conference hall here on Thursday.

Prashanthi questioned the officials of electricity department how many villages they have identified so far, which comes under third wire category; for how many villages they have to arrange third wire; and when it will be completed. They were also asked about loose hanging wires and how many wires they have tightened so far.

The Collector told officials to replace bended and rusted electric poles with new ones. She ordered officers of electricity department, PR secretaries, and special officers to take up joint inspection to identify bended, rusted electric poles, loose hanging wires in the district and to submit a report on or before Monday (September 23).
