Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy directed the district staff to conduct the intermediate examinations in a peaceful manner. Stating that the district administration should take all necessary precautions, she said that bandobust should be planned to conduct the exams under the leadership of the Collector and Higher Education Officers; students should be provided with drinking water; a medical centre at the examination centre should be arranged; and there should not be an power interruption during the examination time.
The Minister also instructed the district administration to provide ample bus facilities to the students to reach the examination centre on time. The Collector, who was on a visit to Bodhan Government Hospital on Friday, attended the video conference from the RDO office and explained the arrangements to the Education Minister. A coordination meeting was arranged with the officials of higher education, police and revenue departments on Monday, he said. The Collector briefed the Minister that 38,666 students are writing the exams in the district and 45 examination centres have been set up.
Section 144 will be imposed in the areas near the examination centres and all the Xerox centres near the examination centres will be closed on the dates of examination. CCTV surveillance cameras were installed in the examination centres and additional bus facilities were arranged. He explained that police, revenue and education officials have been instructed to take action against those, who cause any problem or resort to any irregularity. RDO Gopi Ram and Tahsildar Ghaffar participated in this video conference.
