Bank cashier steals customer's cash

Moinabad: A UCO bank cashier's greed attracted wrath of the locals when a customer lost his money, here on Wednesday. Enekapalli Shekar and wife Samantha of Medipalli came to the bank to deposit Rs 50, 000. While they were busy with formalities like filling up slips, the amount was stolen.

As per the CCTV footage, the bank staff doubted a woman present at the bank, who eventually proved innocent. When the police came and carried out an inquiry, it was found that Mahesh, the head cashier of the bank, had dropped the cash into a dustbin.

The woman who was suspected earlier attempted suicide and saved by the villagers. Raged over the cashier indulging in stealing, the customers demanded stringent action against the erring employee.
