Bhadrachalam: Elderly devotees face hardships as temple elevator breaks down
The senior citizens and physically-challenged devotees have been facing hardships due to malfunctioning of an elevator in the Lord Rama temple for the last two days.
Bhadrachalam: The senior citizens and physically-challenged devotees have been facing hardships due to malfunctioning of an elevator in the Lord Rama temple for the last two days.
With this, the elderly are depending on their family members to reach the temple and have the darshan of the Lord. An old woman, P Parvathamma, who visits the temple regularly, speaking to the media, said due to the elevator problem, she was not visiting the temple for the last two days.
With many devotees expected to visit the temple during the Karthika Masam and take a holy dip in river Godavari, she appealed to the temple officers to kindly carry out repairs to the elevator as early as possible.
Meanwhile, Temple's Deputy Executive Engineer V Ravinder responded on the issue and informed that the lift was not working due to some technical issue and they have called a mechanic for carrying out repairs. The issue would be resolved in a day or two, he added.
