Karimnagar: Sensing their defeat, both Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress came to a secret understanding to face the municipal elections, alleged BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar.

Congress leader Puppala Mallesham of Kothapalli village, and Pranitha and Srinivas of BJP of 33rd division of the city withdrew their nominations and joined the ruling TRS in the presence of Minister Kamalakar at his residence here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said it is evident that the TRS will win the elections whenever they come and it was proved on number of occasions. The Opposition parties started mental game to create confusion among the people and are trying to induct the rebel candidates of the TRS into their fold as they do not have candidates to field in the race of municipal elections, he pointed out

The Minister said that both the BJP and Congress are fighting to get their deposits this time. The BJP do not have any identity in Telangana, they are totally dependent on the leaders of other parties, who recently joined them. The strength of BJP is decreasing day-by-day across the nation and in Telangana nobody cares about it, he pointed out.

The TRS government introduced about 150 welfare schemes for the people living in urban areas. Kamalakar said that as TRS working president KT Rama Rao, who is also Municipal Minister, is focusing more on the municipalities and corporations, that is why enormous development taking place in the urban areas.

He said that both BJP and Congress have neither public people nor proper leaders to guide them. People are forgetting about Congress as many of their leaders joined the TRS by seeing the development taking place under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The pink party is going to clean sweep the municipal elections like it did in Zilla Parishad elections.

TRS leaders Vasala Ramesh, former co-option member Jameeluddin, former corporators Sunil Rao and Karra Rajashekar were present along with others.
