BJP leaders conduct padayatra for clean Godavari in Mancherial

Mancherial: Protesting against the contamination of Godavari river, BJP leaders on Tuesday conducted a padayatra from Mancherial municipality to the river.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP Mancherial constituency in-charge Raghunath alleged that the municipal administration has made the Godavari a garbage dumping yard and demanded the civic body to cleanse the water body immediately and establish a permanent dumping yard for the town.

Stating that due to absence of a cemetery for Hindus and people have been facing a lot of problems in burials, he demanded the government to establish a Hindu cemetery in Mancherial town. He also criticised the sitting MLA for not establishing a Hindu cemetery and dumping yard even after getting elected for four times.

Party leaders Munna, Raju Sidodia,, Sudhakar Rao, Akula Ashok Vardhan, Bodduna Mallesh, satish Rao, Tula Anjaneyulu, Panuganti Madhu, Ranga Shrishailam, Patti Krishna, B Devendar, Mudari Srikanth, Bandi Mallikarjun, Merugu Anjaneyulu, Prabha, Lavanya, Madhavi and others were present.
