Bonalu fest celebrated with religious fervour

Tandur: Bonams were offered to Goddess Kalika Devi, here on Monday. The temple priest Vijaykumar offered milk and flowers to the mother Goddess and conducted special prayers. Later, a procession was taken out through the main streets of the town.

Devotees and locals welcomed the rally throughout the route along with the feats of Potharaju and dances by Shivasattululu. The drumbeats and the dances were the special attractions of the day. Devotees queued up from the morning to have glimpse of the Goddess. Annadanam was conducted in the afternoon for the devotees.
