Hyderabad: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to advance the registration of admissions into Class IX and XI for regular students, besides, making it mandatory for online submission of data of the students admitted.

According to a CBSE circular to its affiliated schools, the decision to advance the process of registration for regular students has been taken to ensure that the schools have sufficient time for other activities and to conduct the examinations in a time-efficient manner.

Accordingly, the schools have to use the new school codes issued to them by the 16 Regional CBSE offices across the country. The Board's Controller of Examinations Dr Sanyam Bharadwaj in the circular said, "examinations for Class X and XII in the year 2020 will be conducted through 16 Regional Offices of the Board.

This has necessitated changing school codes. New school codes have been intimated to all the schools by the concerned Regional Offices. Schools are directed to use only new school codes."

Further, names of the students of Class X and XII registered though online mode and submitted to the Board will only be allowed to give their examinations to be held in February-April 2020.

For this reasons, the school principals are asked to ensure that students being sponsored are their own regular and bonafide students, names of the bonafide students are not left out, students are not from any unauthorised or unaffiliated schools.

Besides, the schools are also asked to ensure that the students are regularly attending classes in their school, and students are not registered with some other School Education Board.

The schools are also asked to satisfy the minimum and maximum age limits while admitting the students as per the respective State and Union Territory governments. The CBSE said that teachers who are teaching class IX to XII alone should be shown as TGT and PGTs to ensure the appointment of suitable evaluators for quality evaluations.

Further, the Controller of Examinations informed that Class IX and XI examinations have to be conducted internally by the schools from 2020.
