Hyderabad, Dec 16: Chief Secretary Dr S.K. Joshi on Monday directed the officials of various departments to make elaborate arrangements for the visit of President of India Ramnath Kovind to Hyderabad for winter sojourn from 20th to 28th December.

The Chief Secretary held a high level meeting with the senior officials of different departments at his chambers in BRK Bhavan on Monday. The meeting was attended by Special Secretaries Ajay Mishra, Adhar Sinha, Shanti Kumar and Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy and others including military officials.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials to formulate a fool-proof plan for the President's visit and stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollaram and implement the same in a well-coordinated manner. He informed that the President would arrive at Hakimpet Airport on 20th December at 1 pm and would proceed to the Rashtrapati Nilayam. He said adequate arrangements should be made for transport, traffic management, uninterrupted power supply, road repairs, sanitation, a supply of freshwater, fire control system, CCTVs, medical teams, telephone, internet facility and magazines at Rashtrapati Nilayam. He directed that the details of Incharge Officers to the Control Room within two days. He said that all departments should be on high alert throughout the President's stay in Hyderabad.

The President will stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam from 20th to 22nd of this month. He will leave for Thiruvananthapuram on 23rd December and return to Hyderabad on the evening of 26th of this month. At Home will be held at Rashtrapati Nilayam on the 27th December. The President will leave for Delhi on 28th December.
