Mahabubabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is committed to dispense a clean and accountable public service to people, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has plans to clean up Revenue, Education and Panchayat Raj departments so as to provide corruption free administration.

"Efforts are on to put things in right perspective from public point of view," Rao said, accusing the Congress of ignoring the rural development during its decade long regime.

Referring to the ongoing hue and cry over Intermediate results, he said that there was nothing to worry as the Chief Minister had given clear instructions to officials to protect the interests of the students.

Even though the government has given assurance to the students, the Opposition parties are brazenly trying to gain political mileage out of the discrepancies rolled in the Intermediate results, Rao said.

Referring to local issues, the minister said that government is committed to fulfil its promises – Bayyaram steel factory, medical college in Mahabubabad etc. The farmers in the erstwhile Warangal district will get irrigation facility through SRSP. From June and onwards, farmers would get irrigation water 10 months in a year, he assured. As promised, Inugurthy will be made mandal headquarters, he added.

Predicting that TRS would win all 16 Lok Sabha seats with a bumper majority, Rao appealed to people to extend their support to TRS candidates in the ensuing elections to Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad territorial constituencies. Further, he expressed confidence that TRS would clinch all six ZPTCs in Mahabubabad district. Mahabubabad MP Azmeera Seetharam Naik, MLC Satyavathy Rathod, MLAs DS Redya Naik, Banoth Shankar Naik (Mahabubabad) and B Haripriya Naik (Yellandu) were among others present.
