Congress, BJP unleashing false propaganda: Kavitha
- Nizamabad Lok Sabha member says people have lost faith in the two national parties
Hyderabad: Nizamabad Lok Sabha member K Kavitha on Saturday lashed out at the Congress and BJP leaders for indulging false propaganda against TRS. People had lost faith in the two national parties and hence they suffered a drubbing in Assembly elections, she said, and predicting that the TRS would will all seats upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the media here, Kavitha said as a Parliamentarian she had worked hard for the welfare of turmeric farmers in the State. She alleged that Congress leaders were provoking the turmeric farmers to file nominations.
"The Congress and BJP are trying to win votes by misleading people," she charged. Kavitha also took objection to messages on social media by the BJP stating that most of the programmes taken up by the TRS government were funded by the Centre.
She rubbished these claims and urged people not to believe the false propaganda. She said Telangana State has better welfare schemes than that of Gujarat. "In Gujarat old age pension given is Rs 750, while in Telangana TRS government is giving Rs. 1,000," she said.
Kavitha mentioned that Jagitial became a district headquarters only because of the efforts made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. She pointed out that the TRS MPs have always worked for the welfare of people of Telangana State. "We will be your servants in Telangana and your soldiers in Delhi," Kavitha, said appealing to the people to vote for the TRS in the Lok Sabha elections.
