Zaheerabad Parliamentary Congress candidate K Madanmohan Rao alleged that rigging took place in Banswada Assembly constituency

Hyderabad: Zaheerabad Parliamentary Congress candidate K Madanmohan Rao alleged that rigging took place in Banswada Assembly constituency being represented by Speaker P Srinivas Reddy and this was the reason for his defeat.

Addressing the media, he said that he would fight against it. An election petition would be filed in the court seeking repoll in Banswada AC as the Election Commission has not responded on his demand for the same.

Madanmohan said that in No 89 booth of Banswada AC, three TRS persons have voted in the place of others. He said that he has proofs that the one Kunjunath Chowdary, whose vote has been casted, was in Australia on the day of polling.

He said that in other case, vote of Sameth living in the US was cast by a TRS worker.

He alleged that his agent was not allowed to enter the booth till 1 pm on the day of the polling. He was allowed after repeated pleas made to the Election Commission officials. The EC has removed the officer from the poll duty on his complaints.

Madanmohan said that Speaker Srinivas Reddy and his two sons Surendar Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy have organised the rigging in Banswada constituency.

He said that though he got majority votes in other Assembly segments rigging in Banswada has led to his defeat. He alleged that rigging took place in Banswada from 8 am onwards and they have photos of them.
