Corona update: 346 new positive cases, 2 deaths in Telangana

Telangana recorded 346 fresh Coronavirus positive cases and two deaths pushing the overall tally to 2,89,135 while the fatalities to 1,561 with two new persons dying of the virus. Meanwhile, the recovery count went up to 2,82,572 with 397 recoveries in a single day.

At present, there are 5,000 active cases out of which 2,798 are in-home or institutional isolation.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, around 38,905 tests were conducted including 17,153 on primary contacts and 4,678 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 346 turned positive and the reports of 699 are pending. So far, 71,84,598 tests have been conducted in the state.

The positive cases registered across the state include 66 from GHMC, 41 from Rangareddy, 34 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 18 each from Karimnagar and Warangal Urban, 10 from Sangareddy, 9 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mancherial, Nalgonda, Peddapalli, 8 each from Adilabad, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Nizamabad, Suryapet, 7 each from Mahabubnagar and Nirmal, 6 each from Warangal Rural, Vikarabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Komarambheem Asifabad, Jagtial, 5 each from Jangaon, Medak, Mulugu and Yadadri Bhongir, 4 from Wanaparthy, 3 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Nagarkurnool and Siddipet, 2 from Kamareddy and one from Narayanpet.
