Corona Update: 474 fresh positive cases, 3 deaths in Telangana

Telangana registered 474 fresh coronavirus positive cases and three new deaths until 8 pm on Tuesday pushing the total tally to 2,85,939 and the death toll to 1,518. Meanwhile, the recovery cases went up to 2,78,523 with 592 persons recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 5,878 active cases out of which 3,735 are in home or institutional isolation.

Between Monday and Tuesday, around 45,590 tests were conducted which include 20,059 on primary contacts and 5,470 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 474 samples tested positive and the reports of 715 are pending. So far, 68,39,281 tests have been conducted in the state so far.

The positive cases reported across the state include 102 from GHMC, 49 from Rangareddy, 45 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 29 from Karimnagar, 18 from Bhadadri Kothagudem, 14 each from Sangareddy, Mancherial and Siddipet, 11 each from Khammam and Nalgonda, 10 each from Suryapet and Peddapalli, 9 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Mahabubabad and Jagtial, 8 each from Adilabad, Vikarabad, 7 each from Medak, Mulugu and Wanaparthy, 6 each from Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mahabubnagar, Rajanna Sircilla and Warangal Rural, 5 each from Komarambheem Asifabad, Nagarkurnool and Nirmal, 4 from Kamareddy, one from Narayanpet and zero cases from Jogulamba Gadwal.
