Telangana has stepped up its activity on vaccine roll-out after the Centre gave its approval for two vaccines on Sunday. The state health department has decided to hold a vaccine dry run in all the districts on January 7.

In this regard, a meeting was held by senior officials with DMHOs and senior health officials of all 33 districts on Monday. The meeting discussed the preparations and arrangements to carry out the mock drill exercise aimed at checking the implementation part and any possible gaping holes in the system.
A similar exercise was done in seven vaccine session sites in Hyderabad and Mahabubnagar districts on Sunday that went off smoothly.
DMHOs, District Immunisation Officers and other district health officials, who attended the Monday meeting, will conduct training on the programme for medical officers of all PHCs in their respective districts on Tuesday.
