TRS leaders ask the Saffron party to prove allegations by taking up inquiry through any central investigation agency

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders on Tuesday challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to prove corruption in Kaleshwaram project by taking up inquiry through any central investigation agency.

Addressing a press conference here at TRSLP office, MLCs T Bhanu Prasad and V Gangadhar Goud challenged the BJP leaders to prove their allegations by taking up inquiry through any central investigation agency.

Bhanu Prasad said BJP working president JP Nadda was misled on the irrigation projects. "The BJP leader said the Kaleshwaram project was proposed with Rs 30,000 crore.

Don't know who whispered this into Nadda's ears. First, the BJP leaders should get national project status for Palamuru Rangareddy and complete it in three years. The BJP leaders should stop talking and do something better for Telangana," Bhanu Prasad said.

The TRS leader took exception to the comments by BJP State unit president K Laxman, who asked TRS working president K T Rama Rao to ask his sister about the presence of BJP in the State.

"Laxman is talking like a gully leader without manners, which is unfortunate," Prasad said. The crowd which attended the BJP was no match to the booth level meeting of TRS, he added.

Gangadhar Goud said the TRS lost in Nizamabad because Congress party colluded with the BJP. Though Kavitha lost election, the popularity of her has not gone down, he said. The TRS has been winning successive elections and same thing will happen in future, he said adding that the leaders who were joining the BJP were irrelevant in current politics.

In another press conference MLC Shambhipur Raju said the BJP leaders were daydreaming of coming to power in Telangana. "Because of the delay tactics of BJP, precious lives of students were lost during the Telangana agitation.

The BJP came into power with a slogan of 'one vote two States' but ignored it for many years," said Raju. The BJP leaders are unable to digest the welfare schemes run by the TRS government, he alleged.
