To prevent rush in the wake of coronavirus outbreak, the South Central Railway (SCR) has enhanced the platform ticket price from Rs 10 to Rs 50 and is effective from today midnight.

The officials said that the move is just to discourage the non-essential visit to the railway stations. While the ticket price at all the major railway stations is Rs 50, the platform ticket price at all the small stations is Rs 20 and is continued till March 31.

On the other hand, a UK returnee has tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday taking the total count to six. He has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital and is being treated in the isolation ward.
