The District Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), Ponaganti Kedari here on Monday appealed the party workers and people to attend for week long celebrations of Telangana Sayuda Poratam which would be observed from 11 September to 17 September here in Karimnagar district and make it a grand success.

The leaders of the CPI party released a poster related to the celebrations here at Baddam Yellareddy Bhavan in Karimnagar. Speaking on the occasion, CPI district secretary P.Kedari said that then leaders Raavi Narayana Reddy, Baddam Yella Reddy and Magdum Mohinuddin had given a call to the people to fight against the cruel Nizam rulers who are treating the people of Telangana like a slaves without merging the Hudyderabad dynasty into the Indian Union.

As many as 450 members sacrificed their lives during that fight with Nizam rulers. It is the Communist Party of India which supported the Indian government and helped it merge, the Hyderabad into Indian Union by exerting pressure on Nizams through its fight back. In the memory of that the CPI party is celebrating week-long celebrations from September 11 to 17 across the state along with organising Bus Yatra.

He appealed the people to participate in the celebrations and make it a grand success. The CPI district joint secretaries Kuna Shoba Rani, Koyyada Srujan Kumar, District executive members Marri Venkata Swamy and Boini Ashok, Kasireddy, Manikanta Reddy, M Srinvas Reddy, G.Pochamallu, Srirama Chandrulu and B.Sadashiva were present along with others.
