Zaheerabad: SP Chandrasekhar Reddy on Wednesday said that surveillance would be enhanced in the region, as the threat of inter-state robbers was looming large over the town, which was nearer to Karnataka border.
He said security has been beefed up to avoid unwanted situations as the festival season has commenced. The SP said the crime rate in the district has fallen due to effective measures taken up by the police administration.
He advised people to set up CCTV cameras in important locations to contain crimes. Later, he planted a sapling on the premises of the police station along with DSP Ganapathi.
