Hyderabad: Domestic flights operations at finally resumed on Monday at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad after 60 days of COVID-19 induced lockdown.

The first flight from Hyderabad airport was Trujet 2T623 which departed to Vizianagaram at 8.06 am with 12 passengers. And the first flight that was landed in the airport was Air Asia I5 1576 at 8.20 am. Meanwhile, flights to Lucknow have been cancelled in the last minute causing inconvenience to the passengers who reached the airport.

The airport witnessed a smooth passenger movement and no technical glitch has been seen. The luggage of the passengers was sanitized and all the contactless operations have begun. Ensuring physical distance, the passengers were seen standing in the queue at the places marked for them and followed all procedures.

Cabs which are arriving at the airport were sanitized before leaving.
