Donors support 1 funeral services initiative in Karimnagar
Daughter of Batthini Rajagoud and Sri Teja couple belonging to Kapuwada donate a cheque for Rs 10,000 to Mayor Sardar Ravinder Singh for Rupee1 initiative
Karimnagar: Donors have come forward to support Rupee1 funeral services programme introduced by Karimnagar district Mayor Sardhar Ravinder Singh.
The Karimnagar Municipal Corporation has come up with a scheme to offer funeral services at a cost of just one rupee to help poor families perform the last rites for their loved ones.
On the occasion of the 4th birthday of Vedhavarnika, daughter of Batthini Rajagoud and Sri Teja couple belonging to Kapuwada, donates a cheque for Rs 10,000 to the Mayor for Rupee1 initiative.
Mayor thanked the couple for donating money for this plan who rather used to donate money for old age homes and orphanages. The couple in the end promised to donate money for this initiative every year from now.
