Gadwal: Inspecting the election arrangements in Nagarkurnool Parliamentary constituency on Tuesday, election observer Dinesh Kumar directed the district election staff to ensure the upcoming Parliament elections are held in a peaceful environment.

The observer initially visited local market yard where the strong room was set up and supervised the steps how the EVMs and VVPATs were being commissioned. Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Kumar said that officials must carefully commission the EVMs and ensure that there were no glitches on the election day.

He later interacted with the booth-level officials and advised them to ensure each and every voter gets the voter slips in advance before the polling day so that it would make the public easier to know their polling booth and cast their votes without any confusion.

Dinesh Kumar also inspected the ramps set up at the polling booths, drinking water facilities, relieving rooms and other facilities.

The election observer directed the booth-level officials to speed up the process of distribution of voter slips to the people and asked them to complete the process as early as possible.

Joint Collector J Niranjan, Gadwal Tahsildar M Jyothi, Itikyala Tahsildar Ramesh Reddy and others accompanied the official.
