Farmers protest for pattadar passbooks in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: The farmers of Regalla village, under the aegis of All India Kisan Sangham, staged a protest in front of the district collectorate seeking pattadaar passbooks for their lands.

Addressing the agitators, Sangham leader Kasani Ilaiah demanded the government to give pattas to farmers immediately. Alleging that farmers have been deprived of pattas for many years, he said the farmers were unable to get benefits of government schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima due to lack of pattas.

Leaders of the organisation A Kanakaiah, Dharma, Krishna, Satyanarayana and Venkanna and farmers took part in the protest. After the protest, the agitators submitted a memorandum to the District Revenue Officer in his office.
