Five held in extortion, phone snatching case in Hyderabad
Central Zone Task Force team on Friday arrested five absconding accused who were involved in extortion and phone snatching case.
Hyderabad: Central Zone Task Force team on Friday arrested five absconding accused who were involved in extortion and phone snatching case. Police seized a mobile phone and a bike from the possession of the accused.
The arrested were identified as P Madhu (25), Panja Kumar (19), M Krishna (24), D Prabhu Michael (21) and Mohammed Jaffer (25). The accused were friends and addicted to bad habits. On October 22 they went to a bar and restaurant in Kavadiguda to consume alcohol and Panja Kumar asked match box from complainant P Srinivas who was also consuming liquor in the same bar.
When he said he did not have it all the accused argued with him and later forcibly snatched his mobile phone and demanded Rs 500 to top get his phone back. Feared over the situation, the complainant paid the amount, but the accused fled away from the spot with his phone and money. The complainant lodged complaint in Gandhinagar police station.
