Girls fare better than boys in Inter exams
As usual, girls in the district fared well in the Intermediate exams. Their pass percentage is better compared to that of boys.

As usual, girls in the district fared well in the Intermediate exams. Their pass percentage is better compared to that of boys. Approximately 11 per cent passed. Overall, the results of the first and the second years are slightly better compared to those last year. But, it was disappointing when compared to 2017. A total of 14,237 students attended the exams this year from district, out of whom only 7,205 passed the test.
There are 50 junior colleges in the district, including nine government colleges, eight ideal schools, five social welfare schools, three Kasturba and 25 private colleges. In all, 6,508 students attended exams this year and 3,650 have passed the exams. Out of 3,091 boys, 1,555 cleared the exams.
A total of 3,417 girls attended the exams and 2,095 were successful. The pass percentage of boys is 50 while it is 61.31 in the case of girls. The difference between them is 11%. The average pass percentage of the second year is 56 per cent. The pass percentage in the second year in 2017 is 62.12 percent. It was 61 per cent in 2018. This year it was only 56 per cent.
Medak disappoints again
This year also the results of Intermediate are completely disappointing. It is noteworthy that the district stood at the bottom in the state in both first and second-year results.
In the first year, the pass percentage is 29 per cent and it is 34 per cent in the second year. In the first year, a total of 7,028 students attended and only 2,054 passed. In the second year, 5,780 students sat for exams and 1,972 cleared them. Last year, the district was at the 20th position in the results of first year and stood at 18th position in the second-year results. Now, the position is last.
Girls did well in both first and second Inter results. In the first year, only 707 boys could pass out of 3,211. As many as 7,028 girls attended the examinations and 2,054 were successful. In the second year, 2,626 boys attended and only 670 could pass. Of the 3,154 girls who wrote the exam, 1,302 came out with flying colours.
Sangareddy record poor
The district has disappointed in the intermediate results. The pass per cent is only 49 in the first year and 53 in the second year. The district was at the 21st position state-wide in the first-year results last year. This time it is at the 20th place. In the second year, it was at 21st position last year. But this year it was down to 24th position.
As many as 10,970 students attended the Intermediate second year examination, in which 5,831 were passed. The pass percentage of girls is higher than that of boys. Out of the 5,435 boys, 2,670 passed, and out of 5,353 girls, 3,161 cleared it. The pass percentage of boys is 49 while it is 57 per cent for girls. Overall, the district is ranked 24th in the state.A total of 14,241 students attended the first-year exams.
Out of them, 6,918 were passed. Only 3,631 boys have passed out of 7,558. As many as 3,287 girls out of 6,683 were through. The pass percentage of boys is 48 while the pass percentage is in respect of girls. Overall, the district is ranked 20th in the state.
Siddipet slips further
The Intermediate results in the district have not come as expected. Last year, the district was at 14th place in the first and the second year results. But, this year, it slipped to the 15th position. This year, the pass percentage of girls is more than that of boys.
The pass percentage in Inter first year is 52, same as last year. In the second year, pass percentage is 60. In the last academic year, it was 57. This time also, girls fared better than boys in the district. In the first year, 23 per cent more girls passed than the boys. In the second year, 18 per cent more girls passed in comparison with boys.
