Nizamabad: Neuro psychiatrist and chairman of Suicides Prevention Committee B Keshavulu felt that the government should take immediate action to prevent suicides of students and employees in Telangana State.

Speaking with the media here on Friday, after the formation of new districts, workload of the present employees has been increased due to non-recruitment of staff for the new districts. He expressed concern over the uncertainty among the employees, who were away from their families for years in the name of service to work order.

"If this continues, we will wake up every morning with the news of suicides of employees," he added.

It is very sad to see that students and employees, who fought for Telangana, committing suicides, he added.

Dr Keshavulu said the failure of the PRC to comply with the price index in particular would also cripple them financially.
