Gutha Sukender Reddy assumes charge as legislative council chairman

TRS leader Gutha Sukender Reddy assumed charge as Legislative Council chairman on Wednesday.
With only one nomination received for the post, Reddy was unanimously elected as the council chairman. The members of legislative council extended wishes to Sukender Reddy on his election.
Speaking on the occasion, minister KT Rama Rao said that Pocharam Srinivas Reddy who served as agriculture minister was appointed as assembly speaker while Sukender, who served as the president of Telangana State Farmers' Coordination Committee has been appointed as council chairman.
He further said that it is a good sign for the farmers with the leaders having a connection with agriculture sector have been appointed as the heads of legislative assembly and council.
