Warangal/Bhongir: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has said that he has no desire to become the Prime Minister, while asserting that time has come for the regional parties to come under one roof and rule the country.

Addressing election meetings in Warangal and Bhongir, the TRS president said that he wants to see a non-Congress, non-BJP government at the Centre to address the real problems of the country which both the national parties have failed to solve in the last 70 years. KCR said he would like to contribute to bring a qualitative change in the national politics.

Urging the people to elect 16 Lok Sabha candidates of TRS (leaving Hyderabad for its ally MIM), he said only TRS can work to safeguard the state's interests and get the state's rights.

Criticising the BJP and Congress for their failure to utilise the national resources properly, he said there is a scope for utilising whopping 70,000 TMCFT water properly. "None of these parties have made an effort to make use of it," he said.

"I have been advocating for the Federal Front of regional parties to achieve all-round development of the country," he said.

KCR alleged that both BJP and Congress are power hungry and Prime Minister Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who accuse each other day in and day out, seldom focus on problems faced by the people. The TRS chief said neither of these national parties has interest on the development of the country.

On the contrary, Telangana not only witnessed a tremendous growth in the last five years but also became trendsetter in the country, he said.

"Impressed by the Telangana government's initiatives such as Rythu Bandhu, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, residential schools, etc, many states in the country are working to replicate them," KCR said.

Referring to Modi's remarks that the Centre gave Rs 35,000 crore to Telangana, KCR termed it as ridiculous. "What the Centre gives us is insignificant considering the amount Telangana government pays to it. We nearly pay one lakh crore rupees," KCR said.

Talking on local issues, KCR said that farmers in the erstwhile Warangal district would get surplus waters after the completion of Kaleshwaram and Devadula lift irrigation projects.

He assured to look into other issues that needed government's focus after the elections. Stating that he was about to bring in reforms in the Revenue department, KCR advised the people not to pay bribes to officials as they stand to get their work done soon.

Asking the people of the state to give 16 Lok Sabha seats from the state to the TRS, KCR said that a person from Telangana should be a torch-bearer for changing the country.

He said someone has to raise the voice to bring change and he has decided to take the responsibility for bringing qualitative change in the country.

He sought the blessings of the people with 16 seats and making the party which can dictate terms in Delhi and assured the people that he would fight un-compromisingly.
