• The information of every digitalised auto reaches the Police department TSCOPS APP and they are also linked to Dial 100 as the website provides with emergency call and emergency text message facility

• Soon after the passenger scans QR code of the auto, the details of the auto driver and the owner's name reaches the police command control room and the location of auto will be shared with the nearest police station

Nalgonda: To make travel in auto rickshaws safe for the people, particularly women, in the town Traffic police has begun the the digital storation of all details of auto rickshaws plying in the town.

With digitization, all autos' details would be linked to police data centre and they can take prompt action when required.

The Traffic police have roped in the Hyderabad-based company Wall Data for this project. In the digitalized autos, passengers will give rating to the drivers through safe auto taxi dot com website, so that drivers will maintain good behavior with passengers in order to get more rating to their autos.

Passengers will feel secure during the travel as the details of the auto are connected to the Police department. Also, passengers can lodge complaint against auto driver in the police station through the site if driver of the auto misbehaves, overspeed, drives the vehicle in drunken state etc. The passenger can also locate the auto in case he forgets anything in the vehicle.

Officials informed that the information of every digitalized auto reaches to department TSCOPS APP and they are also linked to Dial 100 so that passenger can have as safe journey in digitalized autos as the website provides with emergency call and emergency text message facility.

Information of the auto driver and the owner name reaches the police command control room and the location of auto will be shared with the nearest police station soon after the passenger scans QR code of the auto.

As a part of the process, the digitalization of documents of auto, registration certificate, driver license, Aadhar Card, gas book/ current bill, two photos of auto owner will be linked to the police data centre.

Nalgonda Town Traffic SI K Konda Reddy speaking to The Hans India informed that autos digitalization enrollment was inaugurated in the town by Nalgonda DSP Venkateshwar Reddy four days ago. Of the 3000 autos running in the town, so far enrollment of 200 autos completed and enrollment of rest of the autos will be finished within twenty days . The digitalized stickers will be pasted in and outside of all autos after completion of enrollment of autos , he added.

He informed that passengers particularly women can have safe journeys in autos as the vehicle details are digitalized by the police.

He further informed that the department with road safety and women safety taking several measures, in this connection digitalization of autos being carried out and at the same time enforcement on violation of traffic rules is being done regularly to prevent road accidents in the town.
