The Telangana High Court has directed the state government to hold talks with TSRTC employees tomorrow at 10.30 am.

"It is not government's or employees issue, but related to the public," said the High Court adding that the 50 per cent of their demands are legitimate. The court also asked the government as to why it has not appointed the RTC managing director. "The RTC employees would have hoped the government solving their issues if it has appointed the managing director," said the court.

"The TSRTC called for the strike when the government is looking for ways to resolve the issues. However, their demands are not agreeable as RTC is in loss and the appointment of the managing director has not been taken up for the same reason," additional advocate general Ramachandra Rao told the High Court.

Meanwhile, the RTC unions said that they are ready for talks with the government.
