A head constable rendering duties at chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's farm house in Gajwel has committed suicide by shooting himself with a gun.
A head constable rendering duties at chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's farmhouse in Gajwel has committed suicide by shooting himself with a gun. He was dead on the spot.
It is believed that the harassment from the higher officials has driven the constable Venkateshwarlu to take the extreme step. He was a native of Valigonda village of Yadadri-Bhongir district. The constable belongs to the state police battalion 12. His body was shifted to Gajwel hospital for a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the Siddipet Police Commissioner Joel Davis has clarified that the constable Venkateshwarlu has killed himself in an inebriated state. He was not attending his duties regularly since a long time and on the request of his wife he was taken into duty again, the CP added.
