Nalgonda district in Telangana has broken its 119 years rain record with registering 200.8mm of rainfall in six hours. This is the first time in the last 119 years to record the rainfall in the brief span of time.

On October 26, 2013, Nalgonda recorded at 200 mm of rainfall in 24 hours. However, the current rainfall has been recorded from 5 pm on Tuesday evening to 11 pm. On Tuesday night, around 26 regions in Telangana received tremendous rainfall.

After Nalgonda, Ibrahimpeta of the district recorded at 132.5 mm, Athmakuru at 132.3 mm, Turkapalli at 124.3 mm, Velugupalli at 123.5 mm and Mulkalapalli at 112 mm.

The rain also lashed Hyderabad on Tuesday night leaving the roads inundated. Bus services to Ibrahimpatnam, Koti, LB Nagar and Uppal were suspended due to the heavy downpour.
