Karimnagar: After the long break of 80 days, devotees fulfill their wishes by offering prayers to Gods as temples opened across Karimngar district on Monday.

The government had closed all religious places were closed following the outbreak of corornavirus. The government allowed reopening of temples and other religious pleases to reopen on Monday.

Following the rules and guidelines that are issued by the Central government, the temple priests conducted prayers in various temples across the Karimnagar district and started prayers by ringing the holy bells in the respective temples.

Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple, which is also known as Dakshin Kashi, in Vemulawada, Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple in Kondagattu, Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple in Dharmapuri, Sri Lord Shiva temple in Koti Lingala and Sri Ramachandra Swamy temple in Yellanthakunta were reopened on Monday after sanitizing the entire temples' premises along with marking for maintenance of physical distance for the devotees who visit the respective temples.

In Vemulawada, under the supervision of Temple Endowment Officer Rama Krishna, the priests reopened the temple and conducted early morning prayers Subrabatha Sevalu with Mangala Vayeedhyalu and permitted the devotees for Laghu Darshan of the God.

The authorities of the famous temples told The Hans India said that sanitization of the premises is carried out with hypochloride solution along with keeping sanitizers available for the devotees in view of wide spread of Covid-19.

Water is also made available for devotees to wash hands and legs.

They appealed to the devotees to visit the temple by wearing of gloves and masks and don't forget to wash hands and legs before offering prayers to Gods. They also asked devotees not to bring children below 10 years and aged people along with them to the temple.

They also informed that conducting of Kalyanama, Homams, comprehensive prayers, Vrathalu, Garbagudi dharshanam, giving of prasadams, cutting of hairs and breaking of coconuts along with keeping kunkuma and Shatagopam are prohibited and will not be done by the temple priests as per the orders issued by the government.

Meanwhile, ZP Chairperson of Rajanna Siricilla district Nyalakonda Aruna along with her family members offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada on Monday.
