Huzurnagar ByPoll Results Live Updates: TRS candidate Saidi Reddy breaks record set by Uttam Kumar in Huzurnagar

More than 84 per cent turnout was recorded in the by-election to Huzurnagar Assembly constituency in Telangana on Monday.

A turnout of 85.96 per cent was recorded in the constituency in the Assembly elections held on December 2018.

While 28 candidates including three women are in the fray, the main contest is between TRS candidate S. Saidi Reddy and opposition Congress party's N. Padmavati Reddy, wife of state Congress chief Uttam Kumar Reddy.

The by-poll was necessitated by the resignation of Uttam Kumar Reddy from Assembly following his election to Lok Sabha from Nalgonda.

All arrangements have been made for the vote counting of Huzurnagar by-election tomorrow. The counting begins at 8 am and the police imposed 144 section at the counting centre.
