Former Union Home Secretary Padmanabhaiah appreciated ASCI faculty for designing new courses in tune with the industry needs and called upon private and public sectors to make use of the programmes to build capacity of their manpower

Khairatabad: Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), the first management institute in India, on Tuesday released a book on Management Development Programmes 2020-21 at a brief function at Bella Vista.

The Chairman of ASCI Court of Governors, K Padmanabhaiah, a former Union Home Secretary, released the book that contains programme details and faculty profiles and presented the first copy to the Director General Dr SK Pattanayak, A former Union Agriculture Secretary. The Dean of Training Programmes Prof Valli Manickam was present.

Padmanabhaiah appreciated ASCI faculty for designing new courses in tune with the industry needs and called upon private and public sectors to make use of the programmes to build capacity of their manpower. He said that the annual calendar would be beneficial to the managers, policy makers and administrators from Government, Public and Private Sector Organisations across India and abroad.

Pattanayak said that as many as 107 programmes, including 32 new, were announced this year.

ASCI is offering seven programmes with international study tour components so that participants can be enriched by the best practices from ASCI international knowledge partners.

"Programmes in the area of Information Technology such as Big Data for Government, Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are widely sought after in the market today. We have designed industry specific programmes such as Advanced Executive Management programme: Innovation and Policy which are not offered anywhere else in India," DoTP Prof Valli Manickam said.

Details of the all programmes can be obtained from asci.org.in. ASCI's highly talented faculty members are open to developing customised programmes based on clients requirements, the DG and DoTP said.
