Hyderabad: The whole world is combating the menace of drug trafficking and addiction. It is ruining the most sensitive part of our society, i.e. youth.
The influence of drugs is on an increasing trend and has been pushing many youngsters to commit anti-social activities for sake of consumption of drugs. They push themselves into drug addiction without knowing the consequences and end up behind bars at a very small age, which totally destroys their future.
June 26 is observed the world over as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Food Bank India, Hyderabad, a registered NGO having full-fledged network of physicians and physiologists, has associated with Narcotics Control Bureau to carry out a massive campaign against the drug addiction and drug abuse.
In this connection, a poster with the international theme of 'Better Knowledge For Better Care' and our national theme of 'Say No To Drugs And Yes To Life' was brought on Friday.
Drug abuse including alcohol addiction are important health issues in India affecting both individual and entire society.
With the support of Narcotics Control Bureau and the general public, the NGO hopes to work hard to bring about awareness amongst the youngsters in particular and for the betterment of the society as a whole.
